Ravita T. Omabu Okafor, MSW, LCSW, earned her Master of Social Work degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has offered mental healthcare to adults through her private practice in Knightdale, North Carolina since 2004.  Having 30 years of professional counseling and consultation experience, Ravita also offers tailored training experiences to healthcare professionals, attorneys, schools, universities, businesses, professional associations, churches, and other community agencies on ethics, mental health topics, and employee assistance program benefits.

Having chaired North Carolina’s National Association of Social Workers’ Chapter Ethics Committee for 18 years, Ravita facilitated ethics consultation to NASW-NC members, presented seminars on ethics-related topics, submitted quarterly columns for the NASW-NC newsletter, and attended some North Carolina Social Work Certification & Licensure Board hearings.  As an Editorial Board member for the International Journal of Social Work Values and Ethics, Ravita also reviewed manuscripts submitted for publication.
